I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
